Karl-Conrad-Friedrich Bauer 'Karl Bauer' (1868-1942)
A German painter, etcher, lithographer and illustrator, Karl Bauer first studied art at the Gymnasium die Kunstschule in his native Stuttgart. He then entered the Kunstakademie, Munich, and studied under Professor Wilhelm von Lindenschmit. Karl Bauer's education concluded in Paris in 1893 at the Academie Julian. During the following ten years he traveled extensively and both lived and worked in Belgium, Holland, Englan (showing 500 of 1499 characters). |
