Born in Saint-Jérôme in 1962, he decided at the age of 19 to devote himself entirely to painting in the classical style, thus expressing his way of seeing the people and things around him. In 1985, Forget studied the techniques of the old masters of the 17th and 18th centuries. He continues to expand his scope of interest through his many experiences, discovering new dimensions to his art.
