Barbara Kasten holds an MFA from the California College of Arts & Crafts. She was the recipient of a Fulbright Hays Fellowship in 1972, two National Endowment of the Arts (a fellowship and a grant), a Guggehheim Fellowship, several University and corporate development grants.
Early in her career, Kasten fabricated or commissioned the construction of all of the objects in her photographs: painted black rods, half-moon mirrors, elongated pyramids, cones, and spheres, and cut-pape (showing 500 of 1713 characters). |
