Philton Latortue (b.1944)
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he began painting in 1962, helped by his brother Franklin, also a painter. In 1980 he won first prize in an international exhibition in Hamburg, Germany. Since then, his works have been shown throughout Europe, the U.S., and Mexico.
