This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
Pierre Pelloux, artist of the twentieth century from La Mure d'Isère, moved to Lyon in 1920, when he entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. From a young age he was inhabited by the passion of painting.
He headed for a dozen years the family business before teaching at the School of Fine Arts while creating designs for silk Lyon. Thereafter he devoted himself entirely to painting and exhibited in both French and foreign galleries and rooms.
He died in 1975, a few weeks after the retrospective of his work was held at the Maison de Lyon.
