Victor Uytterschaut was born in Brussels in 1847, into a middle class grocer’s family.
At Brussels Academy, his master was Paul Lauters (1806-1875), painter, watercolorist, drawing specialist and lithographer.
In 1867, Uytterschaut painted his first watercolors and devoted most of his artistic career to this technique. He painted landscapes inspired by different regions of Belgium and marines representing scenes typical of the Belgian coast, also but more rarely, figure p (showing 500 of 1966 characters). |
