The following biography is from Bristol Savages*, an art association of Bristol, England.
Born 1861 in Liverpool, Ernest Bucknall was educated at Dulwich College. He studied art at
Lambeth and at South Kensington Academies where in 1876, he won the Queen's
Prize for Perspective.
He specialized in landscape painting in
watercolour and exhibited at the Royal Academy of London*, the Royal Society of
British Artists* and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
