Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Lorraine Christie has been a professional painter since 1990. Although classically trained, she prefers to be known as a self-taught artist. “A person cannot become an artist until they absorb some of the world around them.”
Her unique, impressionistic style has brought her international acclaim and her work is highly prized in Ireland. The Museum of Ulster in Belfast recently made an acquisition of her work. Christie has had many successful high profile (showing 500 of 1455 characters). |
