This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Long Beach, California and growing up with beautiful natural surroundings, Steve Esteban Davis does painting that reflects his love of nature.  His parents encouraged his early interest in art and provided drawing and painting classes.  In high school, he enrolled in college watercolor and acrylic painting classes.

He continued with art classes from El Camino Jr. College, California and Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles.  Shortly after, he discontinued formal schooling to paint full time.

Steve Esteban Davis settled in Hawaii, again pursuing his love of natural beauty and living in Waimea Canyon on Kauai.  He also has spent time in Arizona where he attended classes in printmaking at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and at Arizona State University in Tempe.  His special interest became stone lithography and monotypes.  Opening a print studio, he has been well served with his purchase in Germany of a large hand lithography press and litho stones.

Of his life in Hawaii, he says: "Living in the quiet and solitude of nature is being close to god and the creative forces".
