John Devlin (b.1950)
Born in Dublin, he studied at NCAD and worked initially as a graphic designer for the Abbey Theatre. He began exhibiting in 1970, showing with the IELA and the Independent Artists. In 1971 he won the Carroll Award at the Living Art Exhibition, and the following year won the Alice Hammerschlag Trust Award. His work features on the front cover of Roderic Knowles’ Contemporary Irish Art (Wolfhound Press, 1982). Devlin has had solo shows with the Hendriks Gallery and the Tayl (showing 500 of 752 characters). |
