This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following biographical information has been provided by Lorna E. Hardy, the
niece of the artist.

Artist’s name – Ingeborg McKinstry, aka:
Ingeborg Hieronymus-Mackinstry, I.H.M., Ingeborg Hieronymus-Kinstry and Macki.
Her correct name was Ingeborg McKinstry but she signed her work in a variety of ways, often adding, her maiden name Hieronymus (along with a hyphen) and changing her last name to Mackinstry, Kinstry or simply Macki.
Born - Darmstadt, Germany, Jan 9, 1922, Died - Daytona Beach, FL, USA, Nov. 30, 2000. Please note that some sources list her as being born in 1926, as do all of the articles I have, but her headstone reads "born in 1922" (photo attached). I do not have her birth certificate though.  However, US Social Security documents, maintained by, show her date of birth to be January 9, 1922 (attached).
After WWII, in 1950, she married my uncle, who was in the U. S. army. She spent the majority of her life in Germany but in 1950 moved to the U.S., since my uncle was stationed there. They returned to Germany in 1954, and resided in Frankfurt, Neu Isenbach, and Runkel-Hofen for many years. During the summer they resided in Peniscola, Spain. Later in life, they moved to Ormond Beach, FL where she lived until she died in Nov. 2000 at Daytona Beach, FL hospital.
After completing her high school training as a registered graphic artist, she was accepted as a painting student in the Mathildenhoehe Academy in Hof-Ferberth-Pfeil-Richter county. Earlier she had exhibited her work at the Darmstadt Artists Society Art Gallery. In 1962 – 1966, she studied goldsmith and enamel handicraftsman. In 1972, she opened an art gallery named Gallery 21 in Heusenstamm, Germany.
She painted with oils, water colors, acrylics, India ink and pastels. She worked in both impressionist and abstract styles.
As a goldsmith and enamel artist, using a contemporary style, she produced pictures, jewelry and furniture.
