| | Born in Ohio on May 10, 1883. Mardis was in Spadra, Arkansas in 1920. By 1930 she was a widow and had settled in Los Angeles. She died there on January 9, 1960. A grocery clerk, in her leisure she painted landscapes of the area around her home. | Source:
