This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Known for watercolor landscape and skyscape paintings that capture changing effects of light and color, Catherine Perehudoff is the daughter of well-known landscape painters Dorothy Knowles and William Perehudoff. (See AskART)

She has studied at the Emma Lake Workshops*, and among her teachers there and elsewhere are Kenneth Noland, Reta Cowley, and Barbara Ballachey.

Art critic Mary-Beth Laviolette says that Perehudoff’s work "almost seems to breathe of the prairie.  Its light, colour, scent and airiness seem but a footstep away.”

Catherine Perehudoff has a degree in Art History from the University of Saskatchewan, and since 1979, has exhibited in over 50 solo and group shows and been published in over 30 articles and magazines.

Her work is in major collections including the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Canada Council Art Bank, the Mendel Art Gallery, the Whyte Museum, the Art Gallery of Alberta, and the personal collection of Elizabeth, Queen of England.
