Known for watercolor landscape and skyscape paintings that capture
changing effects of light and color, Catherine Perehudoff is the
daughter of well-known landscape painters Dorothy Knowles and William
Perehudoff. (See AskART)
She has studied at the Emma Lake Workshops*, and among her teachers
there and elsewhere are Kenneth Noland, Reta Cowley, and Barbara
Ballachey.
Art critic Mary-Beth Laviolette says that Perehudoff’s work "almost
