Ellen Perantoni, born in 1946 in New York City, has been enamoured of the Hudson River Valley landscape since her New York City childhood, with trips to see the rock formations and sweeping views of the Hudson in New York City. From her earliest years, the main influence on her art has been the visionary realism of the Hudson River School masters.
