George Michaud was of French-Spanish heritage. After completing his studies at Chouinard Art Institute, he established his studio in Southern California.
Michaud's work is evocative of the Southwest of his youth and it sparkles with Gallic wit and charm as well. His subjects are unrestricted - the world is captured in his canvases.
Always they are expressions of an exuberant acceptance of life.
His known awards were:
