 An Austrian painter of Dutch origin, Leopold (van /von) Stoll was born in 1808. He was active in 1828 in Warsaw and Cracov, Poland and in 1830 - 1834 in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he designed floral arrangements for the Botanical Garden. The Eremitage in St. Petersburg has several still life and flower paintings by Stoll. He returned to Austria in 1834.
