|Born in California, in 1993, Church received a B.F.A. in Studio Arts, painting from The College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was studio assistant (1990–1993) to noted colorist, artist David Barbero (1938-1999) of New Bedford, Massachusetts and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Also influenced by Barbero’s former professor, Jason Berger (b. 1924) of Malden Massachusetts, who spent summers painting in Santa Fe.|
