Born in Sacramento, CA on Aug. 30, 1912. Erickson began painting as a child. When in his teens he moved to southern California and later worked as an animator for MGM, Disney and Universal Studios. A self-taught artist, many of his oils, pastels and acrylics have horse themes expressed in minimal and geometric designs. Erickson lived in Hollywood, CA until his death on Oct. 15, 1996.
