Donald Rickman, great grandson of Frederick Rickeman

This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in New Jersey on July 29, 1874 of German parents. Rickeman studied art on the east coast before moving to southern California. By 1915 he had moved to San Diego and by 1920 had settled in Los Angeles. He died there on April 18, 1951. An Impressionist, his work includes seascapes, coastals, and landscapes of southern California.

Frederick Rickeman was wed to Eva Forneri (born in Minnesota on January 7, 1890 and died in Los Angeles on October 6, 1988) and they had a son David (born in Pennsylvania in 1919). It's interesting that David was born in Pennsylvania when his father was in California. The artist was listed on the death index as Fred Rickman.
