| Michael Fratrich began his career as a professional artist in 1983,
when he sold his first oil painting of a rural farm scene at the age of
fifteen during a solo exhibit in Northern New Jersey. A self
taught artist, Fratrich’s distinctive renderings have evolved from a
practiced and exhaustive study of early American masters, particularly
George Inness, and also from his experience with the artist and writer
