This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Ned Hoffman (1916 - 1992) He studied full time at PAFA on the G.I. bill and was an assistant to Paul Manship. After a period spent living and working abroad, he returned home to Pennsylvania in 1955 and settled into a vacant public utility substation which became his studio. Hoffman's mother was the 1st board chairman of the Wayne Art Center near Philadelphia in 1930. Ned later held the same position. A large retrospective display of Ned Hoffmans sculpture was held at Wayne Art Center in October and November of 1994. Information provided by Nowell Guffey, Foothills Fine Art. |
