This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Rachel Rosenblum Sturm spent her career in New York City; first as a violinist from Julliard School of Music, and later as an expressionist painter and sculptor. She studied at the New York Art Students League and the New School of Social Research.
Her paintings showed emotion and desperation of people going through life, and her portraits were of New York locals with strongly depicted reactions to life.
She successfully translated her understanding of life into dimensional art in her powerful and free flowing bronze, clay, and stone sculptures. |
