Justo Ruiz Luna was born in Spain in 1865. He studied painting in Rome under Spanish artist José Villegas and formally at a school for fine arts in Spain. He found initial success as a painter or maritime scenes. He went on to paint landscapes and genre scenes.
His work has been exhibited and acclaimed at the World’s Fairs in 1891, 1892 and 1893. His paintings have sold in Spain, Italy and the US. He died in 1925. |
