Magda was born in the Island of Paquetá Rio De Janeiro in 1958 as the daughter of  painter Lia Mitarakis and journalist Flávio Menezes. She has been painting naive landscapes since 1968.

Selected Exhibitions and Awards:
1978 - Painting competition in Solar of D. João VI - Paquetá - Rio de Janeiro. (Bronze medal).
1979 - Exposition in the Regional Library of the Island of Paquetá.
1979 - Painting competition in Solar of D. João VI - Paquetá - Rio de Janeiro. (Honorable Mention).
1979 - Carioca Gincana of Painting (Acquisition Prize,  City Hall of Rio De Janeiro).
1980 - Exposition in San Francisco - California.
1982 - Collective exposition in the General Archive of the City of Rio De Janeiro (Sesquicentenário of the romancista Joaquin Manoel de Macedo).
1983 - Itinerante exposition of Iberia (Prize Cristobal Colon de Pintura).
1983 - Collective exposition in the Chamber of Councilmen of Rio De Janeiro
1989 - Inaugural exposition of the International Museum of Arte Naif (MIAN) - Imperial Step - Rio de Janeiro
1999 - Permanent exposition in the Au Cheval Blanc - Búzios - Rio de Janeiro
