Otis Huband was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1933. He began studying art at Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly the Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William & Mary) after a tour of duty in the Navy.  He also attended the California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland. He completed his BFA and MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Huband also studied at the Academia de Bella Arta in Perugia, Italy in 1963 -64.  He has been a professor in Houston for many years.
 
Mr. Huband was recently featured in the magazine, Antique Shops and Designers in a full color article titled, “ An Artist’s Palette”.
