 Roman Ribera Cirera (1849-1935)
A figure, interior and genre painter, he was born in the Catalan region of Spain. Roman Ribera Cirera studied in Barcelona and Rome and was a student of Pere Borell. He was highly influenced in his art by the work of Mariano Fortuny.
In 1878 he signed a contract with French art dealer Goupil, who had a group of Spanish painters under contract, including Raimundo De Madrazo and Francisco Miralles. Roman Ribera Cirera exhibiting in the World Exhibitions in Paris 1878. His work is in the collections of museums in Madrid and Barcelona.
