Henry L. Pancher was born in Vanleer, Tennessee on July 8, 1910. Primarily a self taught artist, he painted in a modern folk art, primitive manner. Pancher exhibited his works at galleries in San Francisco, Hawaii, throughout the Monterey Peninsula, and at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs, California. His works are in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
Henry Pancher died in Carmel, California on January 30, 1994.
