| A lithographer, John Henry Camp came to America in the 1840's and made
his home in Philadelphia, where he was listed in the directories from
1847 to 1851 as Henry Camp and thereafter as John Henry Camp.
His wife was from Strasbourg, France, and they had three children, all
born in Pennsylvania. "In 1860 Camp owned realty valued at $2,000 and
personalty valued at $5,000."
