Biography from ArtZone 461 Gallery:
Adam Cahoon's paintings are informed by current advances in science such as String Theory and Quantum Mechanics.  His works are visual representations of what scientists attempt to understand and explain.

Cahoon's works are mind explorations, and as such, they establish points of connection with our multidimensional nature.  Like a traveler reporting from undiscovered territories, the artist intends to show viewers the unknown in colorful shapes that seem to come alive in front of our eyes.  They appear as mathematical representations of nature and technology existing as one entity interacting with its surroundings.

Cahoon's works usually raise more questions than they provide answers, but can offer a visual insight into systems only described and understood by few brilliant minds today.

Adam Cahoon earned a BFA in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and his works has been exhibited since 2003.

Artist's Statement:
Adam Cahoon was born at the age of 2 months in Fremont, California.  Just after his first birthday he was moved, against his will, to Redding, California, where at 5 he dominated the local youth in the grocery store coloring contest circuit; no monetary prizes were won, only prestige.  The following year he returned to Fremont, living reclusively until emerging at the age of 25, entering the BFA program at The San Francisco Art Institute.  Two Years later, he walked away with his degree and set to work painting.  Now, several years later, he's ready to enter the coloring contest world once again.

His work has been exhibited: Untitled, ArtZone 461 Gallery, San Francisco, group, 2010.  The Seduction of Duchamp, ArtZone 461 Gallery, group, 2010. You Better Come See MF (my friends), ArtZone 461 Gallery, group, 2009.  Science Fusion, ArtZone 461 Gallery, group, 2009. My Mollusk, San Francisco, group, 2008.
