This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Harry Chinchinian is a painter of still life studies from flowers grown in his garden, child figures, which are often composites of his family, and the landscapes from Idaho and Washington, near where he lives in McCall, Idaho.

He has studied with Edward Norton Ward in Monterey, California; Charles Movalli in Nice, France and Cornwall, England; and Ovaness Berberian in Rigby, Idaho.  "His pictures often reflect the various styles of his teachers, all of whom promoted the “en plein air” method of working outside the studio in the fresh air."

Chinchinian is also a book illustrator and writer including a mystery series about a pathologist:  Pathologist in Peril, Pathologist On Call and Pathologist in Training.  He has also written and illustrated children's books including The Princess and the Beggar, The Princess and the Beggar II and Holly Brown, Dragon Dingle and Beware of Drifters.  From Armenia, he has written a collection of childhood memories titled Immigrant Son I: An Armenian Boyhood.
