David James Brown ( b. 1951, Johannesburg, South Africa)
He works mainly in bronze, wood and steel as well as various mixed mediums, doing collage constructions which he combines with his sculpture and plaster of Paris casts.
A sculptor of figures and beastlike animals which he combines with machines, platforms and ships. During 1983-85 he did a series called " Procession, Man, Animal and Machine"
1970 - 73 - Diploma in Graphic Design at the Michaelis School of Fine Art
1974 - Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, Cape Town
