Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Nov. 12, 1916, Gladys Hendricks was a
weaver, teacher and metalsmith. She earned a BFA at Bethany
College, Lindsborg and an MS in Education from the University of
Kansas, Lawrence.
Hendricks taught at Bethany College from 1939-45 and at the University
of Kansas from 1944-49. She moved to Los Angeles, California and
