This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born near Galesberg, Kansas on September 18, 1885, and dying in Chanute, Kansas on October 15, 1963, Maude Hudson was a doll maker.

She attended public schools in Galesburg.   She studied art under Mrs. W. J. Hannan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and with Mrs. William Peters of Pittsburg, Kansas.

She cast, painted and fired porcelain dolls, and then dressed them in costumes often made by her.  One doll is now shown in the Safari Museum, Chanute.
