Jiang Zhong-Li was born in Tianjin and graduated from Tianjin Academy of
Fine Arts with oil painting major in 1988. In 1998, he completed the
painting material study class taught by École Nationale Supérieure des
Beaux Arts’ Professor Pincas.
In 2002, he graduated from oil
painting advanced class of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Jiang’s
artworks were exhibited in 8th, 9th, and 10th National Art Exhibition,
1st Annual Exhibition of Chinese Oil Paintings, 3rd Chinese Oil Painting
Exhibition, China Mini Figural Oil Painting Exhibition, and Chinese Ten
Fine Art Academy Teachers Artwork Exhibition.
Now Jiang works
as the associate professor in Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and a member
of Chinese Artists Association. His artworks and thesis are published
in numerous professional publications and booklets and he is the author
of The complete training of still life in oil painting.
style will be categorized as figurative painting; however he insists not
to simply copy and paste, but depicts an “unknown and distant reality”
to express the real-life but fictitious state.
