This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A painter who specialized in acrylics, illustrator, graphic artist, and teacher, William Kolliker lived in New York City; Norwalk, Connecticut; and El Paso, Texas.  In El Paso, he taught at the University of Texas and was Art Director for White & Shuford, 1954-65.

He attended schools at the Berner Secundar Schule in Bern, Switzerland; National Academy of Design, Grand Central Art School And Art Students League in New York City; Maryland Institute; Boston School of Art; and the University of Texas in El Paso.  Among his teachers was Harvey Dunn.

As an illustrator he was Art Director in New York from 1934 to 1944, worked for American Weekly magazine from 1944 to 1952, and from 1952 to 1954, Cunningham & Walsh Advertising Agency. 

Illustrations by Kolliker were in Aesop's Fables,1940; Adventures in Puddle Muddle, 1941; and Coronet, 1942;

Memberships included the Westport Art Association and the Art Director Club
