Biography from Heritage Auctions:
Jose Delbo (Argentinian-American b. 1933)

He has drawn for scores of American comic books since moving to the USA in the mid-sixties.  At Charlton Comics he worked on Black Fury, Billy the Kid, Geronimo Jones, Ghostly Tales, The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves, and other titles. At Dell he worked on Hogan's Heroes, Gentle Ben, Mod Squad, and the Monkees, among other features.  At Tower Comics he worked on Fight the Enemy.  For Western Publishing he has drawn Judge Colt, Buck Rogers, Twilight Zone, Mighty Samson, Lone Ranger, Turok, and Doctor Solar.

In the seventies, Delbo started working for DC where he drew the Supergirl, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, and Wonder Woman features.  He has drawn syndicated newspaper comics such as The World's Greatest Super-Heroes, the Phantom, and the Superman Sunday Special.   At Marvel Comics, he worked on several titles based on popular television cartoon in the eighties and nineties such as Thundercats, the Transformers, and Captain Planet and the Planeteers.  He  drew Brute Force and NFL Superpro in the nineties, and he also drew for Mickey Spillane's Mike Danger at Tekno and Big.

Jose Delbo has taught at the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Arts.
