Clyde Winslow was primarily a commercial artist, but spent his spare time painting the landscapes of California. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 19, 1894. By 1921 he had settled in Seattle, Washington.
By 1937 he was a resident of Los Angeles, California. He ultimately moved to the Long Beach area, were he lived in Seal Beach, California. While there he worked for the Press Telegram for 26 years. In his latter years he had moved to Los Alamitos, California, were he resided until his death on October 28, 1990.
