| Born Frank Shepard Fairey and known professionally as Shepard Fairey, he began his career after training at the Rhode Island School of Design, as a graphics artist, creating with his business, Alternate Graphics, stickers, skateboards and posters that he advertised through mailing catalogs. In 1994, a documentary film, Andre the Giant Has a Posse, featured Fairey "and the growing phenomenon of his subversive stickers and posters." This brought him much attention, and his busin (showing 500 of 1453 characters). |
