This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
David Sharir was born in Israel of Russian immigrants. He studied art in Tel Aviv and continued his studies of architecture and theatre design in Florence and Rome.
In 1966 David Sharir moved to Jaffa where he still resides today, and it is here that he developed his style.
His family studio along with Biblical imagery and fantasy all are combined into his unusual and whimsical work.
