| Born in Norway on July 1, 1882. By 1905 Talberg had immigrated to South Dakota. He worked there in Waubay as a house painter while painting fine art in his leisure. He later moved to Ogden, Utah where he painted desert landscapes of the area around his home. He died there in April 1973.
