Gasper Vitale or "Gabby" (born Jan. 29, 1929)
Gasper Vitale or better known as "Gabby" " was born in Manhattan, New York on January 29, 1929. At a very early age he had a special interest and talent for painting and art. In 1934 he won the 23rd Children's Art Competition sponsored by John Wanamakers Department Store in NYC. Upon entering High School he decided to major in art. He was known as 'Gabby" and at this point started to sign all his works with this name (showing 500 of 1063 characters). |
