Biography from The Fairmont Gallery:
Sally Rosenbaum's contemporary California impressionist paintings are intended to bring to life the sun-washed peace of a garden in spring; a place where the subjects seem to have all the time in the world to soak up the sun, arrange flowers, share poetry, write love letters, chat with a child, or simply enjoy solitude.

She is a resident of northern California and paints in her studio at home using friends and family as models.

"I marvel at the visual and love the beauty of gardens, interiors and the warmth of the sun across a composition. In my paintings I like to show moments in time that invite reflection and celebrate the life of sensation, inner thought and contemplation, " she states.

She holds a B.A. in fine art from UC Berkeley, has several teaching credentials, and has done graduate work in the fields of sculpture, education and painting.  She has studied with Elmer Bischoff, David Simpson, Peter Voulkos, Earl Loran, and Don Hatfield.
