Edward De Witt (b.1938-d. 2008)
A multi talented artist and sculptor, he was born in Jersey City on August 1, 1938. Self taught, he was commissioned by such widely diverse patrons as the U.S. Bicentennial Commission (official Bicentennial "Double Eagles" commemorative), the Boy Scouts of America, Ethel Kennedy (RFK Awards for the Robert F. Kennedy Tennis Tournament), and Salvador Dali. He was commissioned by Anheuser-Bush to sculpt the Americana Series-a five year bicentennial (showing 500 of 810 characters). |
