Biography from Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction:
| Always searching for elusive moments in nature, Barbara Moore’s paintings are drawn from actual experiences. Whether it be a babbling brook that wanders through the woods, or following the tracks of a snowshoe hare, or capturing the sun sparkling across the snow, Moore intends to beckon the viewer to feel and explore that special moment with her. As one perhpas is drawn deeper into her scenes, the moment unfolds as a chickadee suddenly appears from an inconspicuous perch, or a rabbit is discovered nestled within a thicket, or a deer is discovered, glancing back from deep within the woods.
"I love living in Colorado and experiencing the natural beauty that surrounds me," says Barbara. Armed with a camera, binoculars, and her keen senses, she seeks out and preserves those intimate moments in nature for her viewers. In so doing, she has woven a common theme throughout her watercolor and acrylic paintings by creating, "Lasting Impressions of Rocky Mountain Country."
She holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. |
