Native Montana artist, Troy Collins, credits mentors Robert Moore, Barry Thomas, and Patrick Matthews for his love of painting. Troy called Idaho home for twelve years during an intensive painting apprenticeship in the studio of master impressionist Robert Moore. He credits Moore with inspiring his love of Russian Impressionism while nurturing a respect for the elements which create quality in an interpretation of subject matter.
