This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in San Francisco, CA on April 6, 1858. Edward was the son and pupil of artist Harrison Eastman. The few landscapes he painted during the 1870s and 1880s appear to have burned in the 1906 earthquake and fire. Most of his life was spent as a resident of San Francisco where he worked as an electrician. While visiting in Pasadena, Eastman died on June 17, 1931.
