| Born in Brockton, MA on July 2, 1853. Eaton studied art in Boston and later taught art there. Ill health forced her to abandon teaching and move to Vermont where she became a student of botany and began specializing in painting botanical studies. She painted wild flowers in southern California while there in 1897-99. Eaton died in Orleans, VT on June 29, 1923.
