| Born in Ohio on March 18, 1899. Jackson studied music and art at Northwestern and Syracuse universities. In 1918 she settled in Los Angeles where she studied painting for nine years with Hector Serbaroli and later with Fechin, Lukits, Schuster, and Chamberlin. She was also a close friend and sketching partner of Edgar Payne. She combined a career as both harpist (one of her pupils was Harpo Marx) and painter. She taught painting to small groups and was a judge at ma (showing 500 of 846 characters). |
