| Born in Illinois on Jan. 24, 1906. Following his art training at the Otis Art Institute, Jackson went to work for Walt Disney in 1928 and stayed for 31 years. While there, he worked on the first animated cartoon with sound and received two Academy Awards for his work on Disney films.
