| William Sackston Atkinson was born in Cazenovia, NY on Sept. 17, 1864. Atkinson studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse University, and Stanford University. He moved to California in 1895 and lived in Palo Alto until 1921. He is said to have died about 1925.
